The Merida Initiative is a collaborative program between the United States and the Government of Mexico (GOM) to improve the quality of lives and communities in cities near the border and elsewhere in Mexico.  

International World Water Day was suggested in 1992 by the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development to bring awareness to the importance of fresh water and sustainability of fresh water all over the world. In 1993, The United Nations General Assembly voted March 22, 1993, as the inaugural World Water Day. Each year, Tetra Tech celebrates World Water Day during the month of March to bring awareness to the importance of freshwater and advocating for the sustainable management of freshwater resources around the globe.
